2016 Annual Appeal Letter

December 2016

Season’s greetings!  As we approach the holidays, we are grateful for the blessings we have received and for being able to help hundreds of children and families in our community over the last year.  It is because of your extraordinary compassion and commitment to helping children in need that we have been able to demonstrate love in the most extraordinary ways.

Of the many success stories we could share, we would like to highlight this one with you.  On December 15, 2015, Jermaine, who is a former resident of Greenbriar Children’s Center’s emergency shelter and long-term residential programs, became a postman. How heartwarming and proud we were when, on June 24, 2016, the doorbell rang and there appeared Jermaine delivering Greenbriar’s mail.  What a WOW moment!

Your contribution will touch the lives of hundreds - whether a child like Jermaine is facing abuse or neglect at home, bullying at school, homelessness, or if a family is facing a crisis that will disrupt their family stability or the many other reasons families and children access services. With your help, Greenbriar is here to make sure youth and families do not face crisis alone, and to provide immediate safety and rapid intervention.

Join Greenbriar’s mission to create a world in which all youth are safe by returning your donation in the enclosed envelope or through our website at: www.greenbriarchildrenscenter.org on the “how to support Greenbriar” page. On behalf of all the thousands of families and children we have helped so far - and all those we will help today, tomorrow and in the days and weeks to come - thank you for your generosity.  Happy Holidays to you and your family!
